1) OK, so where does your name come from?

Kineo Technologies name is derived from a mountain which rises up 700 feet out of Moosehead Lake here in Maine. Mount Kineo, and the surrounding Moosehead Lake, has been the centerpiece of the local economy for hundreds of years. Early recorded history shows Mt. Kineo was an excellent source of flint for Native American tools and weapons all over the eastern portion of what is now Canada and United States. The mountain and surrounding land became the destination for wealthy New England travellers during the 19th and early 20th centuries when the Mount Kineo House was in operation. Currently, Mount Kineo is a destination for hikers and picnicers who are vacationing in the Moosehead region.

Kineo Technologies, LLC of Beaver Cove, Maine is owned and operated by Marilyn & Dave Goodwin of Beaver Cove, Maine USA.
